Mapnik is a cross platform C++/Python toolkit for developing mapping applications. Mapnik is a free software and is released under LGPL (Lesser General Public Licence). At the core is a C++ shared library providing algorithms/patterns for spatial data access and visualization. It can comfortably be used for both desktop and web development enabling fast-paced agile development.
